Blog 6

 My experience learning English has been somewhat difficult since it is not a very easy language for me to learn, I try but I can not expand my vocabulary much, all previous semesters I had Chilean teachers, it is the first time that my teacher is a foreigner, it has been a new experience of which I must highlight the positive. 

According to what I think the face-to-face classes are better for me, I feel more free to speak or ask something, on the other hand by zoom it makes me panic, when I had to return to English by zoom I was a little discouraged because I was getting used to listen to it and also I was feeling more confident, on the other hand by zoom many times I did not listen because I have a bad connection.

I think the blogs are a good idea, it helps me to get to know my colleagues a little better as most of them are new to me. 

Outside of English class I use English very little, I only listen to music in English and lately to practice it more I started to translate the lyrics of the songs I listen to while traveling on the bus, it's very entertaining.  

I think that I need to improve the way I express myself, my vocabulary because many times I understand what people say to me in English but I don't know how to answer, for that I have decided to search in a translator all the words that sometimes I hear and I don't know, I have also entered in a tutorial and they help me with the pronunciation. 

Blog 5

 Currently I really like my study plan, the career that I study is called pedagogy in preschool education, the subjects that I study are all very linked to childhood and how to educate in the best way, I certainly feel that I need to study more about what is sex education at an early age, although it is still a subject that I can add as a formative course. 

Nowadays, educators are in great demand because every day it is easier and more necessary to admit children to kindergartens. Parents need to work, so kindergartens are often a very good option and the government is building more and more kindergartens in the different municipalities to cover these needs. 

My career has a duration of 5 years and I am already in the third year but it is my first year on campus so I am just now getting to know my university, I think that the buildings are very well trained but could be better, regarding technology we are well advanced, the classrooms have new televisions and projectors which allow us to implement different types of teaching, perhaps something more dynamic since we can access youtube and many other platforms.

My professors are very creative people, many times they make striking presentations in which we can participate, they are very good teachers compared to those of the other careers, in order for me to be a good educator I need to have a good example to follow and my professors fulfill all the positive skills that a teacher should have.  

A trip back in time

 If I could travel back in time I would like to travel to the past, especially I would like to go back to being a little girl, because I feel that I did not enjoy my childhood to the fullest, when I was little I always dreamed of being big and being 25 years old, now all I want is to be 7 years old again, so I would like to travel to the past, I would like to have the same imagination, energy, joy and illusion. 

If I travel to the past I would enjoy every time I came home from school to eat and run out to play, back then I had no responsibilities at all, everything was to play and play. 

When I was little I waited every Saturday for the man who sold candy and ice cream, I still remember the excitement I felt when he arrived in his truck that for me was giant, 2 years ago I saw him again and I realized that he never had a giant truck, he sold candy in a baker's truck, but I was so little I thought it was a big truck. 

If you ask me today if I would have liked to stay 7 years old forever, I would say yes, I love childhood very much, I feel that it is a magical stage, when you are little everything looks different, everything has more enthusiasm and feeling. 

The job I would like to have in the future

 In the future I would like to work in a "Guaguateca", the "Guaguateca" is a library for babies and children where reading is implemented in different ways, in it there are many recreational activities. I would like to work in a "Guaguateca" because they have a very nice environment and I will be able to teach in a non-traditional way. I think that kindergartens are very schooled and that is not good, that's why I would like to work in a place that has more freedom. 

I think I would like to work in this place because I have always liked working with children and teaching, and I think that these places break the rules, for example the rule that in a library you should not run or shout. 

One of the skills you need to have to work in a "guaguateca" is patience, but you also need to be creative because you have to create many activities related to reading.

If someday I could work in a "Guaguateca" I would be very happy, for the same reason, I must make an effort and continue studying.

Holidays

Hi everyone😄

Today I will tell you about my most memorable vacations, these were in 2018, in the month of February. That summer I went on a trip with my boyfriend called Héctor and his family, his mother Yasna, his father Patricio and his sister Yennifer, they were very beautiful days, since those vacations were on my favorite beach called "Costa Azul" . The trip was not long, it took us around 1 hour to get there.

We did not do many activities, but if we bathed in the sea, shared delicious food, walked on the beach and also played cards, but I'm a very bad player jajaja, I think it was the best vacation so far, I had a lot of fun, the Héctor's family is very kind and friendly, they have become my second family, we are very close.

After those vacations I went out with my family again, we usually travel to different beaches every summer, but due to the pandemic we have avoided leaving the house a lot, in January 2022 we went back on vacation, since we had not gone out since the beginning of the pandemic.

A country you would like to visit.

 Hi classmates, my name is Katarina Oyanedel:

One of the countries that I would like to visit is Greece because it contains many beautiful islands and I love to swim in the sea, it is said that Greece has at least 6000 islands to visit, I would be very happy to visit at least 2 islands from there.

One of the islands I want to visit in Greece is called Santorini and it is located in the Aegean Sea. This island has black sand beaches, that's why I'm very curious to visit it.

I would also like to visit Greece for its architecture, in many images I have seen that there are many white houses with blue roofs, in my opinion they are very beautiful colors to observe on an island, also in Greece we can find very old architecture such as emblematic monuments of the city called Acropolis.

In Acropolis we can find the temple of Athena Polias which is a great tourist attraction since it was created in the years 550-570 BC.

Greece is a very beautiful place but I would only like to go to see the architecture and its beaches, I would not go to live there.
